Apologies for the attention-grabbing headline - no offence intended. This article addresses a common predicament: how do we explain to people outside the performance management domain what we do here at mecklemore?

To us, “enabling meaningful insights into all aspects of business performance” beautifully encapsulates our calling. Driving planning & reporting efficiencies that free up resources to spend more time on value-adding activities that lead to faster, data-driven decisions powering improved business performance, should nicely sum it up.

We do the aforementioned well for organisations large and small across many industries, multiple geographies, and public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. We are amongst the best Board, Jedox, and Oracle EPM implementation partners in Australia and strongly focus on realising the business benefits these enabling technologies offer. Our growing community of happy clients is a testament to this.

Spreading the word, however, proves difficult at times. When potential advocates of our services ask our team members what we do, the above explanation, more often than not, results in a blank look or a subtle change of subject. And there goes an opportunity wasted...

Here are our attempts to put it simply:

  • Angle 2: We implement user-friendly software that allows you to set clear business goals and targets, track progress towards those goals, analyse data, and make informed decisions to improve results.
  • Angle 3: We enable an organisation to align different departments towards common goals, create driver-based plans, make better-informed decisions based on real-time data, improve financial performance and efficiency, and respond more quickly to changes in the business environment.
  • Angle 4: We stop companies from flying blind.
