Mecklemore minimises Oracle Cloud Implementation Risk at Landcom

Landcom develops new living areas for the people of New South Wales. It is a state-owned organisation that partners with the private sector to develop sustainable urban and residential communities.
At the start of 2018, Landcom selected an Oracle Cloud solution to replace its 20+ year old legacy systems and an in-house developed forecasting tool. The Oracle Cloud Financials, Projects and Planning (EPBCS) modules were implemented in parallel as part of a significant finance transformation initiative.
As it is the case with any large-scale software implementation, the change in business process and enabling technology after working with the legacy solution over the past two decades, brought on its own set of challenges.
Due to our experience working in such environments, mecklemore was engaged to minimise the implementation risk across the planning and reporting streams. Christoph Mecker and Nigel Ephraums represented the Landcom Finance team and worked with Landcom’s systems integrator to deliver a robust planning and reporting solution.
Mecklemore assisted the Finance team in transitioning from the 'old way' of doing things in their legacy solution to the 'new way' using the Oracle Cloud planning and reporting products. This included understanding and translating Landcom's requirements for the systems integrator to develop; guiding Finance through how to test the solution, as well as providing training to the extended business (i.e. project development teams).
Mecklemore ensured that a high-quality and business-relevant outcome was achieved. The Oracle Cloud solution went live successfully in November 2018.
